Open Letter to Congress

Dear Congress,

I'm aware that the President is completely disconnected from the American people, but I am a bit surprised at how much the Congress has abandoned it's obligation to the voters. I was wondering if you could explain a few of the more obvious instances of our representatives blatantly lying to the people who elected them.

You tell us that we need to be better trained for high-tech jobs, so we try to go to school and get the required education. But, you fail to fund education and it costs more and more to go to school. Then, when we graduate, we find that you have off-shored the jobs you promised we could get. You tell us that health insurance is a problem, but you've off-shored the jobs to countries that provide free health insurance to their citizens. Finally, you tell us that we need to buy products to support the economy, but you take our jobs and give them to illegal immigrants and H-1Bs. You support businesses, like Walmart, that pay their employees so little that they have to go on public assistance to afford health care, but then you tell us that government spending needs to be cut back.

I'm wondering, are you people delusional or just completely dishonest? Has greed blinded you so much that you don't even know you're lying? You don't even seem worried that we will vote you out of office. Do you really have the voting machines rigged or do you just finally not care about the voters at all.

Please, explain to me why the vast majority of the citizens of this country no longer have any representation in Washington. Explain to me how it is that when 80% of the American people made it clear that they did NOT support amnesty for illegal aliens, you ignored them and passed it anyway. Finally, explain to me what you think we send you to Washington for, because I'm pretty sure you don't have a clue.

A disillusioned voter
