Presidential Poo
The President's address last evening was nothing more than an attempt to fool the American people on immigration again. We should NOT accept temporary measures to beef up the border while the rich get more cheap labor. As soon as they get what they want, the border will be opened up to illegals again. If you don't believe me, check out this quote from Newt Gingrich:
"I voted in 1986 for the bill which in fact amnestied three — almost three million people. It said we're going to set up a temporary worker program, it said we're going to control the border, and it said we're going to enforce the law on, on employers. None of that happened. So now you are where we are today."
Of course, the President did suggest a "virtual fence" to protect the border. Hmmmm...sounds like a good idea for White House Security! And maybe we can try "catch and release" for terror suspects, too?
It's bad enough when the President interrupts primetime TV, the least he could do is tell the truth. I strongly urge anyone reading this to use the link to Congress.org, located to the right of this post, to tell your members of Congress how you feel about illegal aliens invading your country.

I am all for immigrants. When you think about it, we are a nation of immigrants. But, if you want to come to this country and live and have all the rights and priviledges, do it the way you are supposed to. Don't just sneak across borders or onto the beaches and demand all of the rights of American citizens. Apply for citizenship, respect our laws and learn English.
As for the Mexican President having a problem with what this country is trying to do, maybe he should look at his own country and figure out why so many of his citizens are so desperate to leave. Just because he doesn't want to take care of his people, does not mean the American people should.
I agree with spongy-poo, Bush is just doing his usual "yaddy-yah, blah-blah-blah." Congress has been trying to do something about this situation for far too many years. Now they really have a pile of poo to get themselves out of.
