In a move sure to boost the morale of Congressional wives trying to compete with Congressional Pages, at least on the heterosexual side of the aisle, the FDA has firmly approved the use of silicone breast implants. Nice to see our government doing such uplifting work for the American people. No one has proven that these flotation devices are actually safe and women have died from the side effects of them, but that won't make a damned bit of difference to the Nip/Tuck crowd.

By the way, the part about Dow Corning being "pushed" into bankruptcy by breast implant lawsuits is a bit misleading. Dow agreed to a payout and then filed for bankruptcy in order to try and avoid payment.
