ACLU Avoids Simple Question on Racial Bias

I sent the following message to the ACLU:

Your organization has been trying to get me to join for years. Here's the chance; just answer one question. I hear that you don't think White people can be and are discriminated against. Is that true?

This is their reply:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for contacting the ACLU.

Our web site (http://www.aclu.org) has a search feature located at the top of the home page. By typing in a search request, you should find the latest news, court briefings and archival information on this topic.

If you are not already an ACLU member, we encourage you to help support our aggressive work on the issues you care about. To join please visit http://www.aclu.org/contribute/contribute.cfm or call 1-888-567-ACLU.

Sincerely,
D. Barber
Correspondence Manager, American Civil Liberties Union

What a complete non-answer! The ACLU is so afraid of a simple question that they cannot provide some kind of thoughtful reply? I'm amazed and disgusted. Not only that, but when I tried to reply, I found that Barber's email address does not accept replies. So, the ACLU refuses to answer questions and bars further inquiry? Yeah, that sounds like an organization I want defending my rights.

I will NEVER join the ACLU, and if you are a member of this fraudulent organization, you should reconsider!

This Blog is Updated Less Than Analysts Expect

"The US lost another 345,000 jobs in May, the Labor Dept. reports, far fewer than analysts expected."

What analysts and why do we care? Why do we always act like "fewer than analysts expected" means life is wonderful? Are these the same analysts who said the housing market would never fall apart? The same ones who swore that outsourcing was "good” for the economy?

Instead of trusting these "analysts," we probably ought to be lining them up against the wall. I can see the headline now: "Today, some analysts were shot, but they lost less blood than analysts had expected. However, they were still dead."

Why Congress Is About To Get A Raise???

Unless they vote against it, Congress will get a pay raise in January! I oppose giving Congress a pay raise this year because Congress has done nothing to help their constituents, the American people. In fact, Congress has overseen the worst economic collapse in American history. Congress has taken away worker rights, destroyed pensions, turned health care into a rich-boy piggy bank, and allowed credit card companies to legally steal. Then, Congress bailed out the banking industry, whose unethical and irresponsible behavior helped kill our economy. Finally, Congress, showing their true colors, refused to rescue an industry that employs millions of Americans! Congress continues trying to displace American workers with criminal ILLEGAL immigrants and fraudulent H1-B's. Congress does not need a pay raise from the American taxpayer. No doubt they will get one from their corporate bosses.

Click the link to the right to contact Congress. Tell YOUR Congressman that the don't deserve a raise while the American people are losing their jobs and their homes.

Dear Congress,

So, Detroit CEO's are coming to you with a new plan which will apparently include more union concessions? Why in the world would the workers need to give up ANYMORE? Where are the CEO concessions? When do the billionaires start paying for their own mistakes?

I've had it with a Congress that does not support the American worker. You people, from BOTH parties, have destroyed American labor in an attempt to legalize slavery. You have spent years trying to destroy the middle class while creating a CEO good ol' boy club that rakes in 450 times the income of their lowest paid worker. How is this acceptable?

You gave the financial "industry" 700 billion dollars, with questionable results, and now you quibble over 25 billion until the middle class makes concessions? I guess that makes it pretty clear who YOU work for! Remember this come election time.

By the way, to my Democratic representative; I have come to the conclusion that your party is worse for labor than Republicans. Not only do you fail to support unions, but you continue trying to import cheap foreign labor. You need to wake up and remember who and what you are supposed to represent!

Conversation with an Indian IT Professional

"Yes, hello, this is Sean Kelley calling from Singapore, may I speak with Mr. Kumar?"

"Mr. Kumar? May I ask why?"

"Yes, he is evaluating our software and I wish to speak with him about it."

"Oh, Mr. Kumar is not here."

"Do you know when he will return?"

"No, I don't."

"This is his mobile number, yes?"

"No, he doesn't have one. This is his sister's brother's cousin's mobile, I am Suresh. He only has a phone at work."

"Ah, I see. Do you have that number?"

"Yes, but their line is down now. Can I take a message?"

"I'll send him an email. Thanks."

Some of you wanted to know some of the obstacles to doing business in India were. I think this short, 100% true, dialogue captures the essence of the challenges on the ground there the best. As for what a 'sister's brother's cousin' is, who knows?

McCain's Gone to the Dogs?

Sometimes polling just gets completely stupid. This is one example of that:

Pet Owners Favor McCain

Next thing we know they'll be handing out Milk Bones at political rallies. Woof!

Fire Congress!

Congress is not addressing the issues of concern to American citizens. Therefore, I cannot vote for any incumbent in this election. Credit card companies continue to abuse Americans, and Congress does nothing. Oil prices are out of control, Congress does nothing. Illegal immigration and fraudulent H-1b programs are out of control and Congress does nothing. American wages and benefits continue to decline while employers try to displace Americans with foreign workers. What does Congress do, they encourage this destruction of the American economy. In spite of the continuous stream of evidence that corruption in American corporations and financial institutions, Congress turns a blind eye. Congress no longer works for the American people and it is obvious that no one in Congress should remain employed. You can bet that if I performed my job, for my employer, as Congress has done theirs for the American people, I would have been fired long ago!
